June 7, 2011 Board Meeting Agenda Item #27 Title APPROVAL OF THE COLLABORATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE SCHOOL BOARD OF SARASOTA COUNTY, FLORIDA AND THE LITERACY COUNCIL OF SARASOTA, INC. Description The Literacy Council of Sarasota will provide appropriately-trained tutors for services for Adult Basic Education students at SCTI Newtown campus.  This Agreement shall commence on May 1, 2011 and end on June 30, 2012. Recommendation That the Collaborative Agreement between the School Board of Sarasota County, Florida, and the Literacy Council of Sarasota, Inc. be approved. Contact WHITE & CANTEES/MORROW Financial Impact Cost is $45 per hour for five (5) hours per week for thirty-six (36) weeks for a total cost of $8,485.00, which includes certain indirect costs.
